Madeline (Maddie) Poeta is an award-winning director, multi-hyphenate actor, producer, writer, and content creator. She began her creative journey studying theater at the University of Tennessee. She built her foundational storytelling instincts while working in multiple positions on sets across major networks like HBO, Disney, and FX. Poeta served as a showrunner’s assistant on the AMC series The Terror: Devil in Silver. She spent years learning from top-tier industry professionals in multiple production roles on elite film sets, including sharpening her narrative skills as a director's assistant on Apple TV+’s thriller Echo Valley.

Instead of taking a traditional path, Poeta turned this extensive industry experience into her personal film school. These experiences led her to start her directing career. Chickentown, the short film Poeta wrote, produced, and directed, was a huge success. The short film currently has 276K views on YouTube, has earned multiple awards at festivals, and has viewers wanting more. She continues to direct short films, music videos, and commercials. Always keeping her eye on the goal of directing feature films.

She intentionally plays with the perception of space to show how our separate lives intersect through the power of sonder. Her working style is fun and playful, driven by the belief that if time and space are illusions, the shared feelings connecting us are real.

This unique creative execution has earned her a prestigious Telly Award, a feature on Panavision’s socials, alongside numerous film festival accolades. When she finally wraps on a set, Poeta loves unwinding with her dogs, partner, family, and friends. She is a scuba diver, ocean and wildlife lover, guitar player, and video game enthusiast. She also enjoys capturing new perspectives through photography alongside their partner.
